The UK has fully embraced the K-pop wave, with an unprecedented seven tracks from the genre making it into this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 40. Leading the pack is HUNTR/X’s “Golden,” which secures its fourth non-consecutive week in the top spot.
The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon continues to shape the charts. Three songs connected to the hit Netflix title land in the top 10: Golden at No. 1, Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop” at No. 4, and their track “Your Idol” at No. 6—both performed by Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, U-KISS member Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee. Beyond the top 10, TWICE bring more firepower from the same soundtrack, with “Takedown” climbing to its highest position yet at No. 27, while “Strategy” stays steady at No. 39.
Outside of the Demon Hunters soundtrack, other K-pop stars are also making moves. Off the back of their historic Wembley Stadium concerts, BLACKPINK land another hit as their Diplo-collaboration JUMP charts at No. 29. Stray Kids also make waves, scoring their second UK Top 40 placement with CEREMONY, debuting at No. 37.
It’s not just K-pop shining this week. British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean makes history of her own, becoming the first UK female artist since Adele in 2021 to notch three tracks in the Top 10 at once. Her single “Man I Need” climbs to a career-best No. 2, joined by “Nice To Each Other” at No. 7 and her Sam Fender collaboration “Rein Me” In at No. 10. Additionally, her older track “Dive” finally breaks into the Top 40, landing at No. 31. Dean’s momentum is unstoppable—she’s also sold out her first arena tour, including four nights at London’s O2 Arena.
Fresh from her standout sets at Reading and Leeds, Chappell Roan is riding high with three songs in the Top 40 this week: “The Subway” at No. 5, “Pink Pony Club” at No. 17, and a re-entry for HOT TO GO! at No. 28.
The rising star sombr continues his breakthrough year, celebrating his first Top 10 album “I Barely Know Her.” Single “12” to 12 climbs to No. 11, while “Back to Friends” (No. 24) and “Undressed” (No. 33) also hold spots in the Top 40.
Doja Cat secures this week’s highest new entry with “Jealous Type.” Lifted from her upcoming fifth studio album “Vie,” the track gives her a 19th UK Top 40 hit, landing at No. 13.
Meanwhile, Coldplay’s ongoing record-setting Wembley Stadium residency sends fans back to their classics. Their 2000 anthem “Yellow” re-enters the Top 20 for the first time in 25 years at No. 19. “Viva La Vida” rockets back to No. 20, while “Sparks” finds new life with a peak at No. 22.
Closing out this week’s highlights, Rihanna celebrates 20 years since her debut album “Music of the Sun” with her 51st UK Top 40 single. “Breakin’ Dishes”—originally from her 2007 smash “Good Girl Gone Bad”—returns to the charts at No. 40, fueled by a viral social media trend centered on relationship loyalty.
