Originally titled Wife of a 21st Century Prince, Perfect Crown is set in an alternate present-day Korea governed by a constitutional monarchy. Byeon Woo-Seok takes on the role of Prince Yi Ahn, the second son of the royal family, burdened by the weight of his noble lineage. IU portrays Sung Hee-joo, an heiress to a powerful chaebol family, dismissed as illegitimate and viewed as a commoner despite her privileged upbringing.
