The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards turned into an unforgettable night for Korean cinema, as real-life stars and fan favorites Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin achieved a milestone never before seen in the award show’s history — both receiving the top acting prizes in the same year.

The prestigious ceremony, held on November 19, 2025, at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, gathered the biggest names in the Korean film industry. Hosted once again by Lee Je-hoon and Han Ji-min, the event celebrated cinematic excellence across multiple categories, but it was the powerhouse couple’s dual wins that stole the spotlight.

Son Ye-jin took home Best Actress for her remarkable performance in No Other Choice, while Hyun Bin earned the Best Actor award for his gripping portrayal in Harbin. Their success was further amplified when they both received Popular Star Awards, joining fellow winners Lim Yoona (Pretty Crazy) and Park Jinyoung (Hi-Five).

No Other Choice Dominates the Night

Director Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, claiming six major awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. The drama also secured honors for Best Supporting Actor, Best Music, and Best Technical Achievement, cementing its place as one of the most celebrated Korean films of the year.

Rising stars also had their moment to shine. Kim Doyeon was named Best New Actress for Idiot Girls and School Ghost: School Anniversary, while Ahn Bo-hyun won Best New Actor for Pretty Crazy. Kim Hye-young received the Best New Director award for It’s Okay!.
