In a move emphasizing the importance of artist well-being, global pop superstar Demi Lovato has announced a restructuring of her upcoming It’s Not That Deep tour. The singer shared the news directly with her fans, revealing a postponed start date and the cancellation of five performances to ensure the tour is sustainable for her health.
A Statement of Self-Care and Scheduling Changes
The announcement was made via a heartfelt and transparent message posted to Lovato’s Instagram Stories. In it, she explains that as rehearsals commenced, it became clear the original itinerary was overly ambitious. To deliver the high-energy performances her fans expect, she requires a more balanced schedule with increased rest and preparation time.
Consequently, the tour will no longer begin on April 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Instead, the opening night has been moved to April 13 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Unfortunately, the shows in Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Denver have been canceled entirely.
Official Statement and Fan Apology
Lovato’s personal note to her devoted fanbase, affectionately known as Lovatics, read:
“My Lovatics – I am so excited to get back on stage this year and visit you in as many cities as I can. While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible. To protect my health and ensure I can give you my all at each show, I need to build in more time to rest and rehearse… I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you in [the canceled cities] and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there.”
Ticket Refund and Exchange Information
For fans affected by the changes, the following procedures are in place:
- Canceled Shows (Charlotte, Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver): Automatic refunds will be issued for all tickets purchased through official platforms like Ticketmaster or AXS. Those who bought via third-party resellers (StubHub, VividSeats, etc.) must contact those vendors directly.
- Rescheduled Orlando Show: All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new April 13 date. Additional tickets are available for purchase on Lovato’s official website, demilovato.com.
Lovato closed her statement by expressing gratitude, writing, “I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me! Thank you for your support always.”
Background and Future Projects
This tour marks Lovato’s first major concert run since 2022 and is in support of her ninth studio album, released in October of last year. Beyond her music career, Lovato is also expanding her role behind the camera, having recently signed on as a producer for the anticipated third installment of the Camp Rock franchise.
