Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is based on the 1989 Raniganj Coalfield Mine Disaster. The film stars Kumar as Jaswant Singh Gill, the engineer who led the rescue operation. It also stars Parineeti Chopra as Gill’s wife, Suman. The film is directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and is scheduled to be released on October 6, 2023.
Soorarai Pottru Remake
In the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, Akshay Kumar plays the role of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara and is scheduled to be released on November 9, 2023.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will star in the upcoming film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which is an official remake of the 1998 film of the same name. The film also stars Radhika Madan in the lead role. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and is scheduled to be released on Eid 2024.
