BTS 2026 World Tour: Comeback Plans Revealed Amid Official Clarifications
After several years away from group promotions, global K-pop sensation BTS is officially preparing for a massive return in 2026. The highly anticipated BTS 2026 world tour is expected to mark the band’s first full-scale live shows since before the pandemic, coinciding with the release of their next studio album.
The seven-member group—RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—rose to worldwide stardom during the late 2010s but paused group activities following their 2020 world tour cancelation due to COVID-19. After performing limited shows between 2021 and 2022, BTS entered a hiatus to focus on solo ventures while each member fulfilled South Korea’s mandatory military service.
Now, with all members set to reunite, reports indicate that the upcoming tour could be BTS’ most ambitious undertaking to date. According to Bloomberg, the preliminary plan includes around 65 concerts across multiple continents, with more than 30 performances slated for North America. The tour will reportedly support their forthcoming album, rumored for a March 2026 launch.
However, BTS’s label Hybe’s Big Hit Music has stepped in to temper the buzz. In a public statement, a company spokesperson clarified that no final decisions have been made regarding the tour’s exact schedule or scale. “The numbers being circulated do not reflect the latest discussions,” Hybe stated, emphasizing that details remain under review.
The group themselves confirmed their group comeback earlier in the summer during a Weverse livestream on July 1, where all seven members appeared together for the first time since 2022. More than 7.3 million fans tuned in worldwide to hear the announcement. BTS shared that they will begin working collectively on new music by July 2025, with recording sessions planned in the United States starting August.
BTS expressed deep enthusiasm about reconnecting with fans worldwide, noting that the upcoming album will capture each member’s creative perspective while celebrating their renewed unity as a group. Their last major series of concerts, the Permission to Dance on Stage tour, drew over 4 million attendees between 2021 and 2022 and broke multiple attendance records.
While exact dates for the BTS 2026 world tour remain unconfirmed, anticipation continues to surge. One thing is certain—the group’s long-awaited return promises to be one of the most talked-about live music events of the decade.
