Global music icon Billie Eilish has officially revealed the launch date for her largest visual project to date — a fully immersive 3D concert film set to hit theaters worldwide on March 20, 2026. The announcement came during the closing evening of her sold‑out Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour in San Francisco, where fans were treated to the news both live and via a follow‑up Instagram video.

The upcoming film is a joint production between Paramount Pictures, Darkroom Records, Interscope Films, and Lightstorm Earth. It will be helmed by two Academy Award-winning directors: celebrated filmmaker James Cameron, known for visionary blockbusters such as Avatar: Fire and Ash, and Eilish herself, marking her directorial debut on a theatrical release.

Filmed throughout Eilish’s ambitious 2024–2025 world tour, the movie will showcase electrifying performances from her critically acclaimed third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. The LP, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, has already spawned multiple chart sensations, including the Hot 100 top-ten hit “Lunch.” The tour spanned continents, selling out stadiums and arenas across North America, Europe, South America, Asia, and Oceania, with several cities hosting back-to-back show dates.

In a behind-the-scenes glimpse shared via social media, Eilish posted a striking new image alongside Cameron, taken by photographer Henry Hwu, while official stills from the shoot were also unveiled. This film adds to Eilish’s growing portfolio of visual projects, following her 2021 Disney+ special Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles and her Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry.

For the Grammy-winning and multi‑Oscar‑honored artist, stepping into a co-director role for a theatrical 3D music experience represents her boldest and most technically ambitious creative undertaking yet.

Currently dominating the Billboard charts with multiple singles from Hit Me Hard and Soft, Eilish maintains her reputation as one of the most streamed and influential artists worldwide. Her consistent presence on the Billboard Artist 100 reflects an enduring global impact that this cinematic project is expected to amplify.

Paramount has confirmed that further details — including international screening schedules, premium format options, and participating theater chains — will be announced closer to the premiere date. The official trailer and promotional artwork are anticipated to drop in early 2026, setting the stage for what could be one of the most talked‑about music films of the decade.
