Actress Vanitha Vijaykumar is stepping into the role of director with her upcoming film, Mrs. and Mr On Monday, she shared an emotional message appealing for audience support, emphasizing that her film is more than just entertainment; it’s an expression of herself wrapped in a fictional narrative.
The actress, known for her participation in the Tamil reality show “Bigg Boss,” reached out to viewers in her heartfelt statement.
She expressed, “Dear Thambis and Thangachis, mark your calendars for Friday, July 11, 2025. The moment has finally arrived! As I write this, my heart overflows with gratitude, anxiety, love, and an unexpected inner strength I never realized I possessed.
“After carrying this dream in my heart for months, I am ready to unveil my first project as a director on July 11. This film is a culmination of all that I have lived, lost, fought for, and held dear. Mrs. & Mr. is not just a film; it’s a part of me, intertwined with fiction. It embodies my experiences, my struggles, my inquiries, and my hopes, brought vividly to life on screen.
“Like any expectant mother, I feel a mix of nerves, emotion, and vulnerability. I find myself standing here as a single mother—not only in life but also in this creative journey. I stand alone, with no support system, just myself, my daughter, and the faith I have in this creation I have brought to life.”
Vanitha emphasized that she has never truly been alone, as the media, her audience, and her supporters—her family beyond blood—have consistently stood by her through ups and downs. She said, “Today, I sincerely request you: join me on July 11. Support the birth of Mrs. & Mr. by coming to the theaters. Experience it, embrace it, and show this creation the love and protection it deserves.”
She urged the audience to “nurture it in their hearts,” just as they have helped her grow through challenges, controversies, and resilience. I assure you, this project will resonate with you because it was crafted with love and made specifically for you, filled with all my love, hope, and tears.”
Set to premiere on July 11, the film is produced by Vanitha’s daughter, Jovika Vijay Kumar, with cinematography by Vishnu Ramakrishnan and Rajapandi and music composed by Srikanth Deva.
