The trailer for the highly anticipated streaming series Chhal Kapat The Deception was released on Sunday.
Set in a village near Burhanpur, the series features an ensemble cast including Shriya Pilgaonkar, Kamya Ahlawat, Ragini Dwivedi, Tuhina Das, Yahhve Sharma, Pranay Pachauri, Smaran Sahu, and Anuj Sachdeva.
The narrative revolves around an intimate destination wedding. The bride-to-be, Alisha Dixit, has selected her family’s ancestral haveli for the festivities, reuniting her childhood best friends, Mehak, Ira, and Shalu, for the first time in years. What starts as a joyful gathering quickly turns sinister. Amidst laughter and rekindled memories, long-hidden tensions emerge, leading to tragedy when Shalu, now a popular social media influencer, is discovered dead.
The celebration devolves into a psychological thriller as suspicion, secrets, and betrayal loom over the event. Each friend harbors invisible wounds and unresolved grudges, and as the investigation progresses, their connections begin to fray.
Shriya Pilgaonkar portrays Inspector Devika, who takes charge of the murder investigation.
Speaking about the series, Pilgaonkar remarked, “Chhal Kapat The Deception is not your conventional murder mystery or whodunnit. I am excited to play a police officer for the first time, but what truly sets this role apart is the character’s complexity. Devika is not just a law enforcer; she is a person haunted by a troubled past, which enhances her investigative skills.”

The show is directed by Ajay Bhuyan and produced by Juggernaut Productions.
