Actor Abhishek Banerjee’s film Stolen, supported by a distinguished team of executive producers—Kiran Rao, Anurag Kashyap, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane—is set to premiere digitally on June 4.
Kiran Rao discussed the film, stating, “Stolen is a unique film that weaves together thrilling narrative tension with a profoundly humane essence. The character Jhumpa lingered in my thoughts long after I experienced the film—her vulnerability and strength remind us that resilience can emerge from the most unexpected places.”
Kiran further emphasized the film’s captivating nature: “It’s a rare kind of cinema that draws the audience in deeper with each frame.”
On Monday, streaming platform Prime Video confirmed June 4 as the global release date for this Hindi original movie, an investigative crime thriller that marks Karan Tejpal’s directorial debut and is produced by Gaurav Dhingra of Jungle Book Studio.
The plot revolves around the intense experiences of two urban brothers who witness a baby being abducted from a destitute mother at a railway station in rural India. Responding to a moral obligation, one brother persuades the other to assist the mother in a dangerous quest to locate the child.
Anurag Kashyap, an executive producer, shared his thoughts: “Cinema that is powerful, uncompromising, relentless, and emotionally raw will captivate you from the first frame and hold your attention—that’s precisely what Stolen did for me.”
The film features a talented cast that includes Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, Sahidur Rahaman, and Shubham.

Motwane was particularly drawn to the film’s sharp narrative, adding, “Every moment is intentional, and every beat is significant. Having debuted at the 2023 Venice Film Festival to a standing ovation, Stolen also garnered accolades for Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Actress at the Beijing International Film Festival.
At the Skip City International D-Cinema Festival in Japan, it was awarded both Best Film and Best Director. The Zurich Film Festival recognized Stolen with a Special Mention, solidifying its standing in the global arena. In India, the film premiered at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and was featured at the 28th International Film Festival of Kerala.
