Peacock Drops Trailer for Ted Season 2 — More Laughs, More Chaos, and the Same Inappropriate Teddy Bear
The world’s most foul-mouthed teddy bear is making his comeback. Peacock has officially released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of its hit prequel comedy series, Ted, created by Seth MacFarlane.
Following the success of its debut season, the show returns with eight fresh episodes that promise a mix of crude humor, heartfelt moments, and the unique bond between Ted and his best friend, John Bennett. Serving as a prequel to the hit films, the series takes viewers back to 1994, where John is navigating the final year of high school with his animated plush companion by his side.
From Seth MacFarlane and a Talented Creative Team
In a joint statement, Seth MacFarlane, alongside co-showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, expressed their enthusiasm for the new season:
“We’ve put a lot of heart into bringing Ted’s story back for another season, and we can’t wait for audiences to see what we’ve been working on. The episodes are the result of incredible effort from our writers, cast, and crew — especially the visual effects team, who make Ted feel so real.”
The creative trio also joked that if the show isn’t your style, the ultimate revenge would be to run every episode on multiple devices throughout your home — just to spike the view count.
Season 2 Storyline: Senior Year in Boston
Season two picks up in 1994, where John Bennett — a kind yet awkward teenager — is living with his outspoken teddy bear in a working-class Boston household. He shares the home with his parents, Matty and Susan, and his cousin Blaire.
- Matty is a loud, old-school Boston native who sees himself as the head of the household and isn’t fond of anyone — especially Blaire — challenging his traditional views.
- Susan is endlessly caring and almost overly sweet, putting her family’s needs before her own.
- Blaire is a confident, politically progressive college student who often clashes with her more conservative relatives.
Through it all, Ted remains his unapologetic self — crude, quick-witted, and fiercely loyal to John.
Returning Cast & Release Date
Reprising their roles are Seth MacFarlane as the voice of Ted, Max Burkholder as John Bennett, Alanna Ubach as Susan, Scott Grimes as Matty, and Giorgia Whigham as Blaire.
Fans won’t have to wait long to binge the new season — Ted Season 2 drops all eight episodes exclusively on Peacock on March 5, 2024. (JioHotstar in India – TBA).
With its mix of raunchy humor and unexpected heart, the series is set to be a must-watch for both longtime fans of the films and newcomers to Ted’s misadventures.
