K-Pop Takes Center Stage at Governors Ball 2026 in New York City
The Governors Ball Music Festival has officially unveiled its highly anticipated 2026 lineup — and this year, K-Pop fans have plenty to celebrate. For the first time in the festival’s history, both a K-Pop group and a K-Pop soloist will headline the event. Stray Kids, Blackpink star Jennie, and rising sensation KATSEYE will bring their global energy to New York City’s Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 5–7, 2026.
The Governors Ball has built a reputation as one of the most diverse music festivals in the United States, known for blending genres and showcasing international talent alongside American chart-toppers. The 2026 edition promises another vibrant mix of musical styles, with more than 60 acts spanning hip-hop, indie, alternative, and electronic music. Other confirmed performers include Lorde, A$AP Rocky, Kali Uchis, Major Lazer, Wet Leg, Geese, Dominic Fike, and Blood Orange.
Stray Kids Break New Ground
On June 6, eight-member powerhouse Stray Kids will become the first-ever K-Pop group to headline the Governors Ball main stage. Comprised of Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N., the group has enjoyed a remarkable run over the past year, captivating audiences worldwide with their high-intensity choreography and dynamic setlists. Their fans — affectionately known as STAYs — can expect an electrifying performance that will set a new benchmark for K-Pop representation at U.S. music festivals.
Jennie Makes Solo History
Closing out the festival on June 7 will be Jennie, the multi-talented member of Blackpink who achieved major solo success in 2025 with her album Ruby and hit single Like Jennie. Sharing the final night’s spotlight with A$AP Rocky, Jennie will make history as the first K-Pop soloist to headline Governors Ball. Her set is expected to combine her signature charisma with fresh stage production, promising an unforgettable finale for festival-goers.
KATSEYE Opens the Party
The festivities kick off on June 5 with KATSEYE, a dynamic genre-blending group gaining traction on the global music scene. Featuring Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Manon Bannerman, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung, KATSEYE has built a loyal following thanks to their eclectic sound and captivating stage presence. Their opening performance will set the tone for a weekend of nonstop entertainment.
