Your Weekly OTT Guide: December 29, 2025 – January 4, 2026

As 2025 wraps up and the new year begins, streaming platforms are ready to deliver an eclectic mix of drama, thrillers, romance, sports, and nature documentaries. From the much-awaited finale of Stranger Things to gripping courtroom battles in Haq, here’s your chronological binge-watch list for the week.

December 31, 2025

1. Ekō (Netflix)
The final chapter in Ramesh’s acclaimed “Animal Trilogy,” Ekō is a Malayalam mystery thriller set in the misty hills of Kaattukunnu. The story follows Mlaathi, the long-vanished wife of notorious dog breeder Kuriachan, as a web of decades-old secrets unravel on her remote estate. Featuring highly trained dogs in morally ambiguous roles, the film explores themes of protection versus control.

2. Ithiri Neram (Sun NXT)
This subtle Malayalam conversational drama examines “the road not taken.” YouTube host Anish reconnects with his college sweetheart Anjana after eight years, leading to an impromptu road trip filled with confessions and nostalgia. The film questions whether moving on is closure or acceptance of the past.

3. Love Beyond Wicket (JioHotstar)
A Tamil sports drama about Rangan, a once-promising cricketer turned reluctant coach tasked with reviving a struggling academy. As he mentors a team of misfits, the film delivers an emotional journey of resilience, bonding, and second chances.

4. Mowgli (ETV Win)
This Telugu romantic action film follows Murali, a forest-raised orphan aspiring to be a police officer. When he falls for Jasmine, a deaf and mute dancer, their love faces a dangerous threat from a corrupt cop. Murali must rely on his survival instincts to protect her deep in the wilderness.

5. Run Away (Netflix)
Based on Harlan Coben’s novel, this British thriller follows Simon Greene, a father drawn into a violent chain of events while searching for his runaway daughter. As he navigates criminal networks and cult-like plots, shocking family secrets emerge.

6. Stranger Things Season 5 Finale (Netflix)
The epic conclusion sees Hawkins face its ultimate battle as the Upside Down collapses. Eleven leads a strategic assault against Vecna, while other members risk everything to seal the dimensional rift. This two-hour climax closes one of Netflix’s most beloved series.

7. Haq (Netflix)
A gripping courtroom drama inspired by the landmark Shah Bano case. Shazia Bano fights for justice in a legal system torn between tradition and constitutional rights. Starring Yami Gautam Dhar and Emraan Hashmi, the film tackles issues of faith, gender equality, and resilience.

8. Cheetahs Up Close with Bertie Gregory (JioHotstar)
This National Geographic special follows the world’s fastest land predators during the Serengeti’s wildebeest migration. With breathtaking visuals, the documentary captures the challenges faced by a species whose population has plummeted by 90%.
