ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Ranbir Kapoor Recreates Alia Bhatt’s Meme Scene
A video of Ranbir Kapoor recreating Alia Bhatt’s Raazi scene is going viral on social media.
Alia Bhatt played the role of Sehmat in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. One scene showed her crying out loud while saying ‘mujhe ghar jaana hai’.
The dialogue and Alia’s reaction became a worldwide meme and were especially relatable for introverts wanting to leave a party, or employees wishing to leave the office early on Fridays.
Now, Ranbir Kapoor’s recreation has left fans in splits.
The video caption shared by Jio Saavn on Instagram reads: “Relationship Game strong. Meme Game stronger!”
It shows Ranbir Kapoor saying that while he isn’t on social media, he is a “meme expert”.
He then is seen recreating some popular memes with the exact expressions. He recreated Rami Malek’s Hackerman meme to Nana Patekar’s “control Uday control” scene from Welcome.
He also aced some hilarious scenes that were popularised by his own roles in films including ‘Channa Mereya’ from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
The last meme that Ranbir recreated was from Alia Bhatt’s film Raazi.
Jio Saavn gave him a scenario for the meme to apply to and asked him to react to “rishtedaars at weddings” who say “beta agla number tumhara hai na?”.
In translation – relatives at weddings who ask “dear, next will be your wedding, right?”.
In reaction to this, Ranbir recreated Alia’s scene from Raazi in which she cries and says: “Mujhe ghar jaana hai (I want to go home).”

Fans have been flooding the comments section. One commented: “last wala acha tha alia (last one was nice Alia).”
Many others dropped laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor was recently seen in Luv Ranjan’s film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor.
He has been promoting the film in full swing.
The actor is all set to appear as the next guest on the Kareena Kapoor-hosted show, What Women Want.
In a new teaser from the show, Ranbir confidentially talks about changes in his life, from marrying Alia Bhatt to welcoming their daughter Raha.
Upon meeting on the sets, Ranbir tells her:
“Thank you for inviting me. This is the only thing I was excited about. Unfortunately, we only meet on couches.”
Kareena disagrees with him and replies: “No, that I don’t think.”
Further, Ranbir Kapoor will next be seen in Animal. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol.
