The biggest Bollywood stars attended the IIFA 2023 Awards in Abu Dhabi.

Celebrating the best of Indian cinema from the last 12 months, the industry’s biggest stars arrived for a weekend of entertainment and glitzy events.

The event took place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi as part of IIFA Weekend.

Farah Khan and Rajkummar Rao hosted a spectacular IIFA Rocks show on May 26, 2023.

But for the main event on May 27, hosts Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan brought laughter and entertainment as they revealed the winners of IIFA 2023.

Anil Kapoor opened the event with a captivating speech, leaving the crowd in awe.

With his majestic stage presence and a resounding “Salaam Abu Dhabi” to kick off the night, he received an electrifying response from the crowd, setting the tone for a memorable evening.

Gangubai KathiawadiDrishyam 2 and Brahmastra emerged as the big winners.

But it was Hrithik Roshan who stole the show.

Not only did he win ‘Best Actor’ for Vikram Vedha but he also performed the iconic hook step of ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeera’.

Unfortunately, Alia missed the event due to her grandfather suffering from ill health.

But she took to Instagram to thank her fans for the win.

On her Instagram Story, she wrote:

“Thank you so much IIFA. Sorry I couldn’t be there in person to receive the award.

“A special thank you to the audience for your constant support. This brings me and the entire team so much joy!”

Babil Khan paid tribute to his late father Irrfan as he won ‘Best Debut (Male)’ for his role in Qala.

He later said: “I miss him every day of my life.”

Babil went on to say that while growing up, he did not have many friends and his father was the only friend he could look up to.

He said his fondest memory was laughing with his father.

Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza showcased their collaboration on the big screen as their Marathi film Ved won ‘Outstanding Achievement in Regional Cinema’.

Ritesh directed the film while Genelia starred in it.

Genelia attended the event in an exquisite black saree while her husband opted for a sophisticated tuxedo.

IIFA 2023 also saw energetic performances from the likes of Salman Khan and Kriti Sanon.

Nora Fatehi turned back time with her dazzling performance.

Suspended within a sparkling half-moon, she descended gracefully, setting the scene for a dazzling spectacle.

With an enthralling medley of songs, including ‘Piya Tu Ab To Aaja’, ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ and ‘Aao Na’, Nora’s captivating performance showcased her exceptional artistry and transported the audience into a world of glitz and glamour.
