ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Why did SRK remain Silent during Aryan’s Arrest?
Viveck Vaswani, Shah Rukh Khan’s friend recently spoke about the actor’s silence during Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drugs case.
Viveck praised his grace during Aryan Khan’s arrest, which became one of the biggest controversies of the year.
In October 2021, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) arrested Aryan Khan in connection with an alleged drug bust on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
Until the Bombay High Court granted him bail, he spent 25 days in custody.
Later in 2022, Aryan was given a clean chit by the NCB.
Shah Rukh and his family remained silent throughout the media investigation.
Talking about it, the Pathaan actor’s oldest friend from the industry, actor and producer Viveck Vaswani, said:
“I think he did not want to escalate it (the issue), he didn’t open his mouth, and neither did Aryan, Gauri or Suhana, it is called grace and dignity.”
Shah Rukh had only once touched upon Aryan’s alleged involvement in a drug case.
During an ‘Ask SRK’ session on Twitter, a fan asked him what motivates him to overcome the problems he has ‘faced so far’.
In reply, Shah Rukh said: “One has to believe that good will always outweigh the bad…”
Shah Rukh took several measures to evade the media and paparazzi whenever he was out after Aryan got released from prison.
He chose to engage with fans on Twitter instead of using the media to promote Pathaan, even during its release.
Later during a press meet following the success of Pathaan, he said:
“This is an experience that’s yet to sink in. Maybe we will be more grateful to God.
“There were times when we had to make calls to people to make them release the film with ease and they did that.
“I want my films to release with love.”
Meanwhile, Aryan is set to enter the film industry as a director. He is working on his first script.
He shared the news on Instagram by posting a picture of the clapboard and script.
He wrote: “Wrapped with the writing… can’t wait to say action.”
He did not reveal any hint about the film genre, title, or even anyone else who might be involved in the making.
His sister Suhana Khan will be seen in The Archies which will be released this year.
