Sai Varshith Kandula rammed a rented truck into White House barriers on Monday night.
On Monday, the police arrested a Telugu youth on the charge of attempting to endanger the life of the President of the United States- US. At around 10 pm, Saivarshit Kandula (19) drove a heavy truck towards the north side of the White House. He tried to go further by hitting the traffic barriers set up for safety there. The police also noticed that a Nazi flag was attached to the truck.
The young man was detained and interrogated and revealed that he was targeting the President of the United States. With this, the police have registered charges against the suspect for use of deadly weapons, negligent driving, attempt to endanger the life of the President, and destruction of government property. Officials have also brought the matter to the attention of President Joe Biden. However, no one was injured in the incident.
Hailing from the Chestfield area, Saivershit graduated from Marquette Senior High School in 2022. Police are trying to gather more details about Saivarshit through his social media accounts.
Varshith wanted to kill US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in order to the seize power.
