ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Shah Rukh Khan leaves Sharon Stone Starstruck
Shah Rukh Khan’s recognition is worldwide and that was the case at the Red Sea Film Festival as his presence left Hollywood star Sharon Stone in awe.
The actor attended the Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia along with Kajol as their classic Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was the opening film at the festival.
It was a star-studded affair, with the likes of Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor and Saif Alia Khan attending the film festival.
Despite A-list stars being in a room together, even they can get starstruck.
This is what happened when Hollywood actress Sharon Stone realised Shah Rukh Khan was sitting two seats away.
In a viral video, the host introduced some of the stars.
She then makes her way over to SRK, announcing:
“Big round of applause for Shah Rukh Khan.”
As Shah Rukh stands and greets the crowd, Sharon is seen gasping in awe with her hands on her chest.
She then says: “Oh my god.”
As she claps, SRK spots her appreciative reaction and gives her a kiss on the cheek.
The two stars exchanged a few words as the host continued to introduce celebrities.

Sharon Stone later spoke about her interaction with the Bollywood legend.
She said: “Shah Rukh Khan was two seats away from me and I didn’t know he was there and I leaned forward and saw him and, I’m not very easily starstruck because I know a lot of stars.
“But I saw him and I was just like…”
The actress then pulled a wide-mouthed expression, demonstrating her reaction to seeing Shah Rukh Khan.
At the event, Shah Rukh was seen singing ‘Tujhe Dekha To’ to Kajol.
SRK also received a special honour.
On collecting the award, Shah Rukh said:
“I am truly honoured to receive this award from the Red Sea International Film Festival.”
“It’s wonderful to be here among my fans from Saudi and the region who have always been huge supporters of my films.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating the region’s talent and being a part of this exciting film community.
“Film is a unifier because it transits shared human experiences across cultures. You like a film because it stirs your emotions, be it in whatever language or culture it is from. And Thank God for subtitles.
“It brings all that is human to the fore and it shows perhaps better than any other art, how despite the immense diversity of the world we live in, our basic pursuits and emotions are the same.
“Cinema celebrates diversity. It doesn’t stop short of fully exploring differences. And doing so, in the most beautiful fashion, it teaches us not to be afraid of those differences.”
