Novel-based series have been growing popular much more than the remakes and recreations in Bollywood. Many series based on books from renowned authors have fetched amazing reviews from the audience. OTT platforms provide a wide range of such content where you find different genres to watch as per your likes. Sacred Games

This Anurag Kashyap directorial is based on the novel of the same name. Vikram Chandra is the author of this novel. Ganesh Gaitonde and Inspector Sartaj Singh are crucial characters in the plot. This Novel-based series has included top performers such as Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Kalki Koechlin, Pankaj Tripathi, and Radhika Apte. Netflix has the rights to it and currently streaming this series

Bard of Blood

This is another Novel-based series taken from Bilal Siddiqui’s espionage novel ‘Bard of Blood,’ which was published in 2015. It chronicles the life of a former RAW agent. This series included several popular actors like Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar, and Kirti Kulkarni. You can watch it right there on Netflix.

The Married Woman

Majnu Kapoor’s novel of the same name inspired ‘The Married Woman.’ With reference to the Babri Masjid controversy in 1992, this story addresses the problem of homosexuality. Riddhi Dogra and Monica Dogra star as lead in this ALT Balaji serial.

Laila

Laila featuring Huma Qureshi has been taken from the book with a similar name. Penned by author Prayag Akbar, its plot revolves around a woman hunting for her missing daughter. Find this engaging thriller web series on Netflix.

State of Siege: 26/11

State of Siege: 26/11 has been inspired from Sandeep Unnithan’s book Black Tornado. This series will make you recalls the tragic events of the 26/11 terrorist attack. The star cast of this series includes Vivek Dahiya, Arjun Bijlani and Arjun and Arjan Bajwa in lead roles. You can watch this web series of eight episodes on Zee5.

The Final Call

‘The Final Call’ is an honest adaptation of Priya Kumar’s 2015 novel I’ll Go With You: Fight of a Lifetime. This series is available on Zee5. The series includes a stellar star cast of Arjun Rampal, Anshuman Malhotra, and Neeraj Kabi. It traces the story of passengers on a flight from Mumbai to Sydney whose lives are jeopardized when the pilot on board kills himself.
