MTV parted ways with Ryan and Mackenzie Edwards in a he-said-she-said for the ages. It wasn’t a pretty split, and no one anticipated seeing Ryan return to the silver screen.
But apparently, his life right now is too juicy for MTV to pass up.

It would be an understatement to say that Ryan Edwards has a lot going on right now… and apparently, MTV wants to cash in by reinstating him as a cast member on Teen Mom.
To recap, The Sun previously reported that Ryan was arrested for harassment and violating an order of protection that was filed by Mackenzie. He was also charged with drug possession after “two bags of suspected narcotics” were found on him when he was taken into custody.
Numerous 911 calls were made from Mackenzie and her father due to claims of domestic violence. She asked authorities to meet her away from her house because she did not feel safe.
A co-worker also contacted authorities on behalf of Mackenzie because they were worried. They requested a wellness check on the former Teen Mom personality and said she had texted them troubling information.
Not long after, Ryan was ordered to spend time in rehab.
Page Six reported that Ryan has to serve a sentence of 11 months and 29 days unless he is in a rehabilitation treatment.
He will also have to wear a GPS monitor and not engage with Mackenzie over social media, which means no more shady Instagram posts accusing Mackenzie of cheating. He will also have to complete his stay in rehab, Page Six reports.
Police first booked Ryan for an outstanding harassment charge for hostile messages and phone calls toward Mackenzie which she interpreted as “a legitimate threat on her life,” Page Six reports.
Apparently, this storyline was just too good for MTV to pass up.
“MTV was all over this,” a production insider informed The Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “With all of this drama happening with [the Edwards family], they wasted no time bringing him back and were surprised he agreed, actually.”
The outlet reports that Ryan and Maci were confirmed to have filmed together at a Tennessee restaurant last week.
An insider had other huge news: apparently Ryan is dating someone new.
“Ryan has been seen around town with a woman who is actually the ex-wife of one of his friends,” a ‘local source’ informed The Ashley. “It is not a healthy relationship, to say the least.”
