Avatar is a 2009 American epic science fiction drama, written, directed, produced and co-edited by James Cameron. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodiguez and Sigourney Weaver in the main roles. It was set in the mid 22nd century when humans are colonizing Pandora, a lush habitable moon of a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system.
The latest news here is that the film is all set for its pre-release in theatres worldwide on the 23rd of September, Friday. The news was announced on Twitter by a famous Trade analyst Ramesh Bala. His tweet reads, “Hollywood’s All-Time No.1 Industry Hit – 2009’s Avatar with Global Gross $2.84 billion (Rs 22,715 crores) re-releases in theatres this Friday – Sep 23rd.”
The released poster says Avatar will be available in some premium large formats like 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D. It will be a two week limited engagement in theatres.
The film’s plot is all about the expansion of the mining colony threatens the continued existence of a local tribe of Na’vi – a humanoid species indigenous to Pandora. The film’s title refers to a genetically engineered Na’vi body operated from the brain of a remotely located human that is used to interact with the natives of Pandora. The people across the globe, who are yet to watch the film, csn watch this epic saga in theatres from September 23rd for a couple of weeks.
