Lisa Rinna‘s departure was a shock to some fans and a relief to others, but her reasoning has been relatively vague.
Her husband, Harry Hamlin, has hinted that his wife is better than Bravo, and he’s sticking to that story. A new source has inside information about what Harry really thinks about his wife’s departure…
“Oh that is like heaven,” he said. “Look, she had an amazing run on that show, and I think she elevated it and she kicked a** on that show. All good things come to an end.” The 71-year-old continued on to say that it’s time for Lisa to move on and do something else.
The Extra host then asked Harry how he felt when he heard the internet describe Rinna as “the world’s biggest bully.” Harry laughed in response.
“I have to laugh at that because little Lisa Rinna from Medford, Oregon, is not a bully, has never been a bully to anyone any time. I have known her for 30 years — that’s someone else’s projection.”
The actor stuck up for Rinna when asked about her throwing a glass at dinner. He said she was only sticking up for him.
“She is the sweetest thing ever,” he said when asked to describe his wife. “Never once has an untrue thing come out of her mouth… She is salt of the earth,” Harry graciously adorned Rinna.
During the same night, while walking the red carpet for 80 for Brady, Harry also spoke with People about his wife’s departure from the show. He told the outlet she made the right decision to leave.
“[It was the] correct decision, the right decision to make at this point after eight years. I think she took it as far as she could take it, and she elevated the show,” he told the outlet, seemingly repeating his words.
However, he opened up about what the couple has in store for the future.
“We’re both very busy. I’ve got [80 for Brady] and Mayfair Witches coming out, and then she’s already talking to studios about getting going on something else, so I think we’re going to be really busy over the next few months,” he said.
But now, a source claims that Harry’s let slip the “real” reason behind his wife’s departure, and it has to do more with how she was treated during the season 12 reunion.
“Lisa had all the receipts from that night, but they never showed the receipts on the reunion,” a source told Page Six in regards to overhearing a conversation from Harry. They also claimed that Sutton Stracke threw Rinna under the bus.
“She might still be on the show had Sutton not said that,” the source claimed Harry said. “She might still be on the show, but the audience believed Sutton.”
Rinna’s official departure announcement came in early January when People exclusively revealed the news.
