“Hijack 1971” is off to a strong start at the box office!
Starring Ha Jung Woo, Yeo Jin Goo, Sung Dong Il, and Chae Soo Bin, “Hijack 1971” is a disaster film based on a real-life airplane hijacking attempt from 1971. Ever since its release on June 21, the movie has enjoyed an uninterrupted nine-day streak as the most-watched Korean film at the box office.
On June 30, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 10 a.m. KST that day, “Hijack 1971” had officially reached a total of 1,000,406 moviegoers.
