Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif celebrated their first Diwali together. In December 2021, the couple married. Vicky posted a photo from his at-home celebration with Katrina to his Instagram account.
Katrina and Vicky, dressed in traditional attire, are seen performing Lakshmi puja as part of the Diwali rituals. Vicky captioned the photo, “Ghar ki Lakshmi ke sath Lakshmi puja ho gayi,” referring to Katrina as his “ghar ki Lakshmi” (another term for the woman of the house in India). Aap sabhi ko humari taraf se subh Dipawali (Lakshmi puja was performed with the house’s Lakshmi. We wish you all a Happy Diwali.)
Soon after the actor shared the post, celebrities such as Bhumi Pednekar, Mukesh Chhabra, and Nimrat Kaur, among others, commented with heart emojis. “Happy’ Diwali #vickat to u and ur family and all of you guys,” a fan wrote. “These two are just so cuteee..” said another admirer.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor took to Instagram on Diwali to share photos of her festivities with her family. She shared a slew of photos with husband Saif Ali Khan and sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan as they posed for Diwali family photos. They were also photographed posing for the camera while Jehangir refused to cooperate and lay down on the floor.
Kareena captioned the photos on Instagram, “This is Us. From mine to yours… Happy Diwali friends. Stay Blessed.” Saif Ali Khan and his sons Taimur (Tim) and Jehangir (Jeh) were dressed in black kurtas and white pyjamas, while Kareena was dressed in a red kurta set with a bindi on her forehead.
On Sunday, Kareena Kapoor hosted a Diwali dinner at her Mumbai home. Last night’s dinner was attended by members of the Kapoor and Pataudi families. Kareena Kapoor posted a photo of her family from the celebrations to her Instagram account, captioning it “Parivaar (family).” Kareena’s parents, Randhir and Babita Kapoor, her sister Karisma, and aunts Neetu Kapoor and Rima Jain were seen arriving at the venue last night.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor was most recently seen in Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which was released in August. She will next be seen in Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat’s The Devotion of Suspect X. Rhea Kapoor has also signed a project with the actress.
