Chae Jong Hyeop And Kim So Hyun Navigate First Love In “Serendipity’s Embrace” Teaser

tvN’s upcoming drama “Serendipity’s Embrace” has unveiled a heart-fluttering new teaser!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Serendipity’s Embrace” will tell the story of young people finding true love and their dreams after accidentally running into their first love from 10 years ago. Kim So Hyun stars as Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love due to painful memories from her previous relationship—and who undergoes an unexpected change after running into Kang Hoo Young (Chae Jong Hyeop), who witnessed some of her lowest moments from her past.

The newly released teasers capture Lee Hong Joo and Kang Hoo Young as they reminisce of each other when they were 19-years-old. The teasers begins with the narration, “Memories are imperfect,” raising intrigue for the story of their first love.

In Hong Joo’s teaser, Hoo Young recalls 19-year-old Hong Joo as someone sincere and reckless in love, confessing with love letters to Hoo Young at school. Hong Joo boldly states, “I’ve come to confess. Let’s go—for the sake of love.”

However, 29-year-old Hong Joo has changed, wanting to hide under the blankets while believing her first love to be childish. Nevertheless, she faces a heart-fluttering change as she reunites with Hoo Young, who remembers her 19-year-old self, reawakening her feelings of first love.

On the other hand, Hoo Young’s teaser captures how Lee Hong Joo recalls him at 19. As Hoo Young’s dazzlingly bright smile flashes on screen, Hong Joo reminisces, “He doesn’t smile like that,” revealing the true Hoo Young that Hong Joo remembers. Hong Joo narrates, “Kang Hoo Young is like a preschooler without a touch of humanity that is only smart.”

Although Lee Hong Joo believes that Kang Hoo Young has never liked anyone, Hoo Young has always had eyes for only one person, keeping a photo of Lee Hong Joo in her school uniform. Kang Hoo Young’s confession of, “I like you,” previews the heart-fluttering hidden stories of Hoo Young and Hong Joo’s youth.
