Aeolus Capital Management Ltd., the Bermuda based reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) investment fund manager, has announced the promotion of long-standing team member Fergus Morisson to Partner at the firm.
Morisson joined Aeolus back in 2018, since when he has served as a Portfolio Manager on the team responsible for underwriting and pricing property catastrophe collateralized retrocession and reinsurance limits.
Effective immediately, Morisson is now an Aeolus Partner, subject to Bermuda immigration approval and will also join Aeolus’ Operating Committee.
The Operating Committee takes on responsibility for reviewing the performance and strategic direction of the Aeolus group, as well as having oversight of its day-to-day operations.
Morisson was formerly an underwriter at ILS fund manager Securis Investment Partners, where he held a key role in the team as an analyst with experience in pricing, modelling and underwriting collateralised reinsurance, retrocession, ILW’s, and cat bonds.
Prior to that, Morisson worked at RMS Capital Markets, an ILS focused unit of the risk modeller, as a consultant.
